It’s true. “Long Journey Home” is available in paperback on Amazon for $9.99. I have sold already over a dozen or so. While that’s not very many to you- it’s more than I ever expected. I have such wonderful supportive friends and family and I am soooooo Thankful for YOU!
Long Journey Home is a set in 1845 right at the time of Texas Independence. I love all things TEXAS, in case you didn’t know. I feature my little neck of Leon County in this very special book. At just over 45,000 words it makes for a thin novel and the first fiction composition I have ever written.
I began fiction writing journey maybe about April of 2017. Honestly, my life really catapulted in November of 2016 when I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis. I took to the recliner and was not able to go or do any of the things I had been able to do in the past. My body wasn’t cooperating with my fully functional brain. I had watched everything on Netflix and Prime worth watching and some things that were not; whole hours of my life I’ll never get back.
I decided to use my chair time to be productive. I dedicated my pen to God and for his glory. Slowly, a story began to formulate in my mind and onto the pages it went. I felt like God blessed my efforts and allowed me to see this through. Whether or not it’s good, – that’s now in the eye of the reader. I owe so much to the people around me who took turns cheering me on.
Lord willing, book 2 is already in the works. I hope that I am able to continue to do all the things I love in this next year.
I’m just an amateur blogger and now I get to add Author.. 🤓 to my list of snug hats.
A very big hug for Betty Ann Reynolds, she worked so hard editing for me and I could not have published without her.
Thank YOU, Thank YOU, again and again.
